WHERE WE CAME FROM
Mologic was founded in 2003 by Mark Davis and Prof Paul Davis. Their shared vision was to develop innovative, effective new concepts in diagnostic healthcare technology. A small, hand picked, dedicated team of specialists was assembled and they started to deliver. They maintained their independence through contract research with large healthcare companies. Mologic’s reputation grew and the team was expanded, acquiring new and complementary skills.
The result - a first class team of scientists who can think differently and work quickly and effectively. Mologic became part of the Alere inc. Group in October 2009.
WHERE WE ARE
Mologic now employs over 30 scientists conducting innovative biotechnology research. Our team has extensive experience in applied immunoassay technology as well as a broad understanding of medical diagnostic devices, antibody development and protein/peptide chemistry. We develop and refine new immunodiagnostic concepts and generate advanced immunoassay reagents (e.g. peptides and antibodies). We are well connected with other immunodiagnostic technology companies and with academic centres of excellence, both nationally and internationally. We have many collaborative projects with these groups. It has accepted the challenge of delivering a range of stretching goals and objectives over the next few years. We have the support and backing of Alere and are confident we can meet and even exceed these targets.

Through our vision and creativity we find ourselves at the forefront of Alere’s scientific endeavours. We play a key role in many of the research activities central to its futureand share their vision, and believe that, despite being a small outpost of this billion dollar company, Mologic is completely aligned to assist in delivering disruptive technology for the advancing world.
